Cotton Lace Tablecloths-Scotland

Cotton Lace Tablecloths in Scotland have a long history starting from the 1840’s.  That is when the machine woven bobbin was invented in England. Later on in the 19th century the production came to Scotland. This is where our fine quality Nottingham Cotton Lace Tablecloths are still exclusively made.   The Lace is woven in what is known as 8, 10, 12 and 14 point quality. That simply refers to the thread count per inch so that the lower the number the coarser the weave. The bolder patterns are made up of the thicker threads and the finer close knit patterns use the higher count thread. The points vary depending on what the particular pattern requires. The knot count is not a measure of quality. Our Nottingham Lace is always 95% Cotton with 5% Polyester.

We have nine outstanding styles in our collection. Sizes vary per design; rectangular, round, square and oval.  We are happy to help you figure out which will work best for you, your family and your home.
