Lace Valance and Tier – Apples N Pears C

Since Lace Valance material does not unravel there is no need to sew or finish the ends. The cut ends are left that way. The way we figured the yardage as seen in the picture is 2 1/2 fullness. In other words, measure the length of the rod that you are going to use and multiply it by 2 1/2 times, then divide that figure by 36″. The answer will be how many yards you need. For example, if your rod is 43″ long the formula would be 2 1/2 X 43″ = 107 1/2 divided by 36 = 3 yards.
